Military Funeral Honors

 

  The rendering of Military Funeral Honors is a way to show the Nation's deep gratitude to those who, in times of war and peace, have faithfully defended our country. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Special teams are trained to provide military funeral honors.  The honor detail will, at a minimum, perform a ceremony that includes the folding and presenting of the American flag to the next of kin and the playing of Taps. 

              


 

 

 

 

       

 

  There is no minimum enlistment period with the State Guard and members who find that the State Guard is not for them may submit a letter of resignation at any time. Unless otherwise warranted, an Honorable Discharge will be granted.
